Our Installation Service Area

Based in Murray, Utah, our professional installation team accepts residential and commercial heat cable projects in Salt Lake County, Davis County, Weber County, Utah County and Summit County, including Park City. Installation is subject to site review, project scope, safe access and scheduling. Share your city or ZIP code when you request an installation assessment. For projects elsewhere, we provide nationwide design consultations and estimates.

What to Expect from Your Installation

1. Assessment and Drainage Planning

We review the ice problem, roof and gutter materials, eaves, valleys, downspouts and discharge points. The assessment considers safe access, mounting methods and the full route meltwater needs to follow. Roofing, gutter, insulation or ventilation issues may require separate attention.

2. Written Scope and Scheduling

We discuss the proposed cable layout, materials, controls and installation responsibilities. Your written agreement identifies the scope and scheduling arrangements. Weather, roof conditions, access and material availability affect when the work can be performed.

3. Electrical Coordination

The proposed supply voltage, circuit capacity, cold-start limits, controls and required protection are reviewed for the system. Responsibility for any new circuits, electrical connections, permits or other electrical work is identified in the written scope and coordinated with the qualified electrician responsible for that work.

4. Installation and System Testing

Cable, mounting components, connections, supports and controls are installed according to the supplied product instructions and the agreed scope. The installation process includes the applicable manufacturer-required checks and recorded test readings, including insulation-resistance testing where specified, before the system is energized.

5. Handoff and Operating Guidance

We review system operation and controls with you, including when to activate the system, what it is intended to heat and how to recognize a concern. The project handoff includes the applicable product instructions, warranty information and installation/test records specified in your agreement.

6. Follow-Up and Workmanship Coverage

Workmanship coverage is governed by your written installation agreement, including its scope, duration, exclusions and service process. Review those terms before work begins. The 10-year limited manufacturer cable warranty is separate and does not establish a ten-year installation-labor warranty. Contact us if you need help identifying which coverage applies.

A Complete Drainage System

Heat cable is designed to maintain selected meltwater paths through eaves, gutters and downspouts. It does not remove the entire roof snow load or repair an underlying roof leak. The proposed layout, electrical supply and controls should fit the property and the conditions being addressed.
